Q: Does the second story close too keep the animal on the top?

A: No, there is a small opening at the top of the ladder. You could probably put something over it if you needed to
Hayneedle customer support
A: There is an opening to let the animals move freely about, but it is not a closure.

A: No. And if it did it would be too small for a rabbit. I have one rabbit and she likes to run up and down stairs

A: No

A: No, it does not close. It's an opening for the ladder for the chickens to go to and from the second floor.

A: Yes, it closes. There is a door on top that can be locked. We only keep one entrance open at the bottom for our rabbit. Our rabbit enjoys being on top and resting there. It is a great product.Good luck!

A: No but all you would have to do is block the walking ladder hole to prevent it from going down.

A: No. The entire bottom is open so bunnies can dig themselves out. We retrofitted ours so it sits off the ground and has a wire bottom. It's been great for our two New Zealand rabbits.
Q: Can you not put the roost for the chickens in if you are using this product for a bunny or guinea pig?

A: Unfortunately, the roost is required to help make the item a full piece.
