A: The Cape Cod Doormat is made from Polypropylene rope which is plastic. Over time the fibers break down and the mat is less slippery and continues to do it's job of removing debris from shoes. A competitive deck is essentially plastic so there is a chance the mat will be slippery.
Q: How thick is this rug? Our door does not allow much to fit under it.
