Q: Our other non-teak, outdoor tables and our indoor tables are between 27-29 inches tall. Is this one really 31 inches high? Will normal chairs be tall enough?Thanks,Ruth

Q: I need to know the thickness of the teak table top itself. I also need to know what care is needed (waxing?).

A: The thickness of the tabletop on the HJ088 model is 1 1/16 inches.If the table is used indoors, it can be cleaned with soapy water and furniture wax or teak oil can be applied as necessary and per customer preference.If used outdoors, after the initial wax coat wears off, the teak will begin to turn a silvery grey.All that's required is to occasionally clean the teak with hot soapy water. This can be done every 1 to 6 months as needed.If you prefer to preserve the natural color of the teak, you can apply a quality sealer such as SEMCO brand honeytone sealer.We do not recommend oiling teak that's left exposed the elements as it will attract dirt and promote mildew.
