The exterior of each item is crafted from thick panels of engineered wood with a two-tone exterior of scratch-resistant melamine laminate. A traditional murphy bed would have used springs, but this design incorporates dual pistons for an effortless motion going up and down. A metal leg folds down to support the bed, and not only is this design a space-saver, but it also accommodates a standard mattress up to 12 inches thick. A system of curved slats support the mattress and eliminate the need for a box spring. A bit of interior LED lighting gives it a cozy charm that creates a proper sleeping area.
