Q: Can this smoker be used to barbecue without smoking?

A: Smokers are designed for slow, low temperature cooking and grilling is usually over a direct heat source and faster at a higher temperature. Technically you can barbeque on it, but it would be hard to get the temperature high enough to really grill because the heat source is indirect.
