Description

A good dog deserves a good view, and they don't get much better than that from atop the Boomer & George Stair Case Dog House. Boasting solid fir wood construction, this house has steps along one side leading up to a rooftop balcony with safety slat rails. The stairs can hold up to 140 pounds of weight.  Your dog can spend his afternoon on top of the house, patrolling for rabbits and napping in the sun. If it starts to drizzle, or he gets dog-tired, he can head to the spacious interior area. Weatherproof leg protectors and a raised-floor design resist moisture and ensure that the house stays dry and provides comfortable shelter even in hot, cold, or wet conditions.

With easy-to-follow instructions and all hardware included, this dog house assembles easily with a Phillips screwdriver.

Q: Some have said that the roof may leak. Is the other dog house that contains a heater built so that water can not leak in (ie., is the construction design less likely to leak, especially, through that crack where the boards of the roof meet)?

A: This house is designed for outdoor use. It has a robust, weatherproof finished fir wood construction. We have not heard of any issues.
Q: I have pygmy goats and I just wanted to see if it would be destroyed before they get to even use it? They WILL climb on it and it looks like the medium would be the perfect size.

A: My dogs, one is 45 lbs. and the other is 70 lbs. jump on the dog house all the time but we did not put the railing on it and instead put a bed on the 'roof' and it has worked out well. We found the stairs were too small for them to use. Hope this helps and good luck with your goats.

A: Unfortunately, this product has not been pygmy goat tested.
Q: What are the measurements on top for the medium side dog house inside of the rails. Would like to know the measurements so I can buy the perfect dog bed.

A: 46"W x 30"D
Q: Is this easy to build? Does it come with any instructions or video?

A: It's comes with instructions and wasn't real tough to build. No video, just really basic written instructions and lots of parts to put together. If building this for a heavier dog be aware that the roof section is not the strongest and could cave in as the roof is two halves that just rest on a thin "rafter" and they would also let water run down inside the house. It is cute once finished but thin walled without insulation and there is no door covering, so wouldn't be very warm either.Stray Feral Rescue/CatTown Volunteer

A: Hi. This dog house is really nice looking and my puppy LOVES it. However, he, too, is a chewer and he chewed the heck out of it. I'm sure your bunnies would, too. It's pretty soft wood. Hope that helps.
