Set out our Heartwood LanceLoft Bird House as a honeymoon hotel for a charming songbird couple. After traveling up to 600 miles per day, your hospitality will be well appreciated by a pair of migratory birds looking to raise a family. This cozy home is crafted of rot- and insect-resistant cypress wood. The contrasting door color and curvilinear shapes make the LanceLoft a modern and fun decor accent for your outdoor space, too! Mount this birdhouse on a fence, set it on a stone wall or table, or use it as indoor decor! The door is sized for maximum appeal to wrens, tufted titmice, or downy woodpeckers. The metal roof is echoed by a removable metal panel for seasonal clean-out. Ventilation and drainage are accounted for in the design to keep your birds happy and healthy.
The Heartwood team began their journey into the world of bees, birds, and boards over 20 years ago in the small town of Star, MS. Jerry and Larry Glass, brothers and fourth-generation residents of Star, began handcrafting their designs out of cypress and selling them at local art fairs. After exhibiting their bird houses and more at the annual International Gift and Home Furnishing Market in Atlanta, the team was launched into the national spotlight, making the Heartwood brand official and in high demand. With popularity generally comes expansion, and within a few years Heartwood's offerings included swings, Adirondack chairs, and lumber, with bee-keeping supplies following close behind. All designs are still handcrafted with passion at Heartwood's shop on Star's Main Street, using the same high-quality materials. The staff and suppliers are local and many serve as mentors for aspiring artisans.Shop All Heartwood
