Wouldn't you love to meet the bird that laid these deep purple Hebi Arts Egg Vases? Silly question aside, these wonderful pieces of contemporary decor spur an energy and liveliness that makes them such ideal tabletop decorations. Crafted of fiber wood, cast in steel, and finished with layers of lacquer, these brilliant egg-shaped vases are inspired by Vietnam's long tradition of lacquerware with a noticeably modern twist that is fun and fab – as in, fabulous!
When Theresa and Daryl Wong were looking for decorative pieces for their San Francisco Bay area home, they were disappointed in the prevailing aesthetic that they found. Having been born and raised in Beijing, Theresa had an appreciation for Asian art and had been exposed to a wide variety of art forms, including ones involving ancient craft techniques. So together the Wongs formed Hebi Arts with the motto of "Transcending the Traditional" as their mission statement. Since then, the Wongs have been working directly with designers on both sides of the Pacific Ocean to create exclusive lines of wall art, sculpture, home accessories and accent furniture.
