Q: How do you set up the outdoor temperature?
Submitted 6 months ago by Nas - San Diego
Hayneedle customer support
A: Below are set up instructions for temperature readings: 1) INSERT 2 AA batteries into the TX50U-IT sensor (please observe correct polarity)2) INSERT 2 AAA batteries into the weather station (please observe correct polarity)3) WITHOUT touching any buttons on the weather station, keep sensor & station within 5 feet (no obstructions, like glass, wall, etc) for at least 15 minutes. This allows the proper connection for transmitting signal from sensor to station.4) OUTDOOR TEMPERATURE should be displaying on weather station, as well as indoor temperature. Temp readings should be near the same degrees. AT THIS TIME, you may position the outdoor sensor outside within 262 feet (no obstructions, open air) **Please note: Adding obstructions from transmitting signal from sensor to station will reduce effectiveness, so we recommend avoiding as many obstacles as possible. BEST LOCATION for sensor is in a dry, shaded area (sensor is weather-resistant, not waterproof) but well ventilated. example: 6 inches below eaves on the Northside of home.We recommend replacing batteries in sensor, and weather station, at the same time so proper connection is made.
Q: How to set the time ? if it is automatic, then it does not know about Pacific Standard Time time changes.
Submitted 7 months ago by Gary - Grass Valley, CA.
