Description

The all new Rain Water Solutions 50 Gallon Rain Barrel is made in the U.S.A. of recycled plastic. Not only does it use recycled materials in its construction, but when this rain barrel reaches the end of its life, it's recyclable, too! It comes complete with everything you need to start collecting and using rainwater right away. In a beautiful forest green color, this barrel has an embossed Ivy pattern. The dark color helps keep UV out of the water to help with water quality. It has an integrated, screened inlet to prevent debris and insects from entering the rain barrel, and a child-resistant lid. Two large overflow ports help this barrel handle heavy rains. Made to last a life time of HDPE with UV inhibitors.

Q: How do you get pressure to the hose? I hooked up two separate hoses and none of them worked at all. The whole unit is a great but I'd like to be able to save money and water my plants and trees. Could really use your help as this is the only reason I purchased it.Thank you in advance!

A: Hose is gravity-fed only. My rain barrel is at a high point of my yard andit drains down to my gardens. Otherwise, I don't think it can be used on avery level surface and definitely not for uphill watering.

A: Jeff, I purchased the same barrels and my suggestion would be to make sure your barrels are elevated well above your spout at the bottom of the barrel. I placed mine on 2 cinder blocks and this elevation greatly increased the pressure to my hose for watering plants. And of course make sure the toggle switch from your spout is not in the off position. Hope this helps you.

A: Pretty sure it is just gravity fed... when the barrel is filled, the waterwill come out when the base spigot is opened up. If you have an attachmenton your hose (e.g. like a sprayer), the gravity feed might not be enoughpressure to get it to work. I think using a straight hose is the ticket.
Q: What size is the hole for the spigot. I would like to attach a brass spigot that needs a 1.25" hole to install. Thanks!

Q: Does the top come off?
