Q: 1. How much weight can the 170" rod support?2. Please confirm that the 170" rod is continuous with no hardware restricting pulling curtains across the entire rod length.

A: The rod won't be able to hold much of the weight. The weight capacity with all brackets installed is 17lbs. Without the brackets it would't hold more than 5lbs.
