The Stanley Furniture Continuum Entertainment Console Amaretto Cherry 816-17-39 provides a wide, beautiful pedestal on which to display your brand new television. Its handsome frame is made from a combination of hardwood solids and select cherry veneers, capable of supporting most flat-panel televisions up to 65 inches wide. This is the perfect piece for the electronic buff: the center section features a removable back panel with vent and cord openings, making organizing your home theater a simple task. Each cabinet door conceals a storage compartment with an adjustable shelf, as do each of the open compartments. A charming amaretto finish and carved block feet complete the design.
The Continuum Collection
Offering a full spectrum of style, Stanley Furniture's Continuum collection spans centuries of design styles, from modern to contemporary. This inclusive approach creates a sharp contemporary style and a timeless feel. Complementary finishes are available to accent the look of textured materials like rain glass, marble, metal, and shagreen. All pieces are completed with classic oil-rubbed brass or polished nickel hardware. Merge the past and present with the Continuum collection.
Stanley Furniture Craftsmanship
Stanley Furniture's main objective is to produce quality and stylish furniture by using the best wood materials, construction procedures, and elegant finishes on their products to help you fashion your home decor the way you imagined. All of their furniture is hand-crafted from quality woods, incorporating other superior materials such as aluminum, glass, plastic, leather, and marble. Every joint is carefully constructed (keeping wood's sensitivity to heat and humidity in mind) allowing for expansion and contraction. All joints are held together with glue and nail.
Stanley's 30-step finishing process starts with an undertone stain that is applied to a hand-sanded piece. Next, the stain is sealed with a wash coat, then hand sanded again with filler applied to pack the wood pores and smooth out the surface. A sealer coat is then applied, the piece is hand sanded again, and hand padded to mellow the tone. From there, a luster glaze is rubbed on by hand, followed by antiquing or distressing also done by hand. Finally, after drying, each piece is hand waxed and rubbed prior to final inspection.
