To avoid sprouting or patchiness, it is recommended that high-powered vacuums not be used on Surya rugs. If possible, vacuum on a low setting and high elevation, or use hand attachments only. If yarn sprouting does occur, use scissors to cut weak threads and trim down to pile height. Avoid pulling fibers out, as this may result in a loss of quality. If a spill occurs on your Surya rug, tend to the area immediately, blotting with a towel to remove moisture and prevent stains from setting.
