Woodstock Percussion Wind Chimes are tuned using a computerized tuning process in order to achieve incomparably beautiful sound. These wind chimes also use a unique tuning system known as just intonation. The frequencies at which the different tubes vibrate are integrally related, thus producing the purest musical intervals. Once you hear the beautiful tones created by these magical chimes, you will understand why they are so popular around the world.

Wind Chime Length: The length of a wind chime is measured by the overall length of the chime (not tube length) - hanging hook to the end of the sail. This windchime is 27 inches long overall.

Maintenance & Care
Every part of a Woodstock Chime is weather protected. Over time, however, those layers of protection can begin to wear. To enjoy your Woodstock Chimes for years to come, we suggest the following simple maintenance tips. Periodically, apply a thin layer of Danish or lemon oil with a clean cloth to the hardwood parts. Regular oiling will help protect the wood and retard the natural aging process. The tubes of traditional Woodstock Chimes are made of anodized aluminum that will not rust when exposed to the elements. However, over time, the aluminum may show pitting as a result of environmental factors. Please note this will not affect the beautiful tones of your chimes. Use mild soap and water (or a foaming, non-abrasive cleanser) to clean the tubes, glass or plastic parts. Try not to dampen the string.

Q: Can woodstock chimes stay out side year round?
Submitted 2 years ago by Diane & - Nova Scotia
Open Reply - Community Answer
A: The instructions say they can. They suggest a yearly spruce up with sometype of oil - lemon I believe to keep the wood finish nice..... they soundAMAZING!!
Open Reply - Community Answer
A: I put them in my garage for the winter.
Open Reply - Community Answer
A: Absolutely
Open Reply - Community Answer
A: Sure; but protect it from direct assault by rain and snow. We have hadone outside for 30 years.(this does require occasional restringing)
Open Reply - Community Answer
A: I can't answer this because I pack up all my chimes for the winter. I live where we get snow in the winter and would much rather keep them in good condition by not leaving them out during the wind and snow. I do leave them out from spring till fall though and they have still stayed nice.

A: Yes---Mine does!

A: I've had mine for maybe three years (just guessing) and it stays out in the NW Florida elements day and night year round. No corrosion on metal chimes and painted wood is still holding fairly well.I do notice a slight crack (nothing serious) in the top wood area. But the way I see it, nothing stays new forever.

A: They work outside just fine here in Arizona. They are shaded by the patio. Do not know how they would work in a more brutal winter climate.
Q: does this chime have a hook to hang the chimes? thanks!
