Description

This durable and attractive rain barrel allows you to collect chlorine free rain water, which your plants will love.  The rain barrel is made from UV resistant plastic with recycled content and includes installation instructions, a garden hose with shut off valve, overflow hose, clamps and a mosquito resistant/permanent lid. It also contains a linking kit so that barrels can be joined together to collect even more water. Q: Can the lid flip up to allow for a larger area to catch water run off under an eve on the roof ( ie...no gutter spout in this area)?

A: The rain barrel is made of Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE). It is a stable plastic often used in the food industry as saran wrap, squeeze bottles, and storage containers. It is BPA free and has been UV stabilized to prevent fading and sun damage.
Q: Will it crack if water freezes inside of the barrel?

A: The rain barrel is made of polyethylene which is a very stable plastic often used in food products like stretch wrap. Despite the fact the plastic is used in food applications we cannot recommend the barrel for drinking water. Because the top of the barrel is open and cannot be sealed we cannot gua
Q: Our New Mexico house has canales, so the barrel needs to handle water running out of the canales. Could we remove the screen so water can enter directly through the entire top?

A: Water can already enter directly through the top of the barrel. Removing the mesh debris screen will not remove the spoke design in the top of the barrel but the opening is already large enough without needing to remove anything.
