The Young America Harbor Town 9 Drawer Dresser's elegant design evokes thoughts of curtains billowing from a gentle coastal breeze. The dresser's four spacious drawers provide ample storage space for your child's clothes, linens, and anything you'll need for a relaxing stroll down by the shoreline. Colonial influences mixed with Caribbean touches give the dresser a timeless look, meaning it will age respectably.
The rounded feet ground this classical piece with clean lines framing the drawers. Slight moulding along the top of the dresser and around the fronts of the drawers add just enough character. Sturdy metal handles adorn the drawers and tie the classic design and functionality together.
The utility of the dresser is apparent with the storage space. Different drawer sizes allow for the storage of anything from sheets to a breezy summer wardrobe to knick knacks and ephemera. Surely (or shorely) you'll devote at least one drawer exclusively to sea shells!
The Harbor Town CollectionThe Young America Harbor Town line combines colonial design and Caribbean touches into a classic and functional collection that evokes thoughts of breezy coastal towns and summer evenings. While Harbor Town may unfortunately be a fictional place, the furniture is very real and brings an aesthetic to your home that is at once relaxed and stately. Several options for lightly distressed finishes give the furniture a lived-in look. Beds provide a place to relax in style. And multiple storage options see to it that your plundered treasure has a place to hide.
Stanley Furniture Craftsmanship
Stanley Furniture's main objective is to produce quality and stylish furniture by using the best wood materials, construction procedures, and elegant finishes on their products to help you fashion your home decor the way you imagined. All of their furniture is handcrafted from quality woods, incorporating other superior materials such as aluminum, glass, plastic, leather, and marble. Every joint is carefully constructed (keeping wood's sensitivity to heat and humidity in mind) allowing for expansion and contraction. All joints are held together with glue and nail.
Stanley's 30-step finishing process starts with an undertone stain that is applied to a hand-sanded piece. Next, the stain is sealed with a wash coat, then hand sanded again with filler applied to pack the wood pores and smooth out the surface. A sealer coat is then applied, the piece is hand sanded again, and hand padded to mellow the tone. From there, a luster glaze is rubbed on by hand, followed by antiquing or distressing also done by hand. Finally, after drying, each piece is hand waxed and rubbed prior to final inspection.
Every Young America product meets or exceeds current mandatory and voluntary government and industry safety standards. All finishes are in compliance with Federal Regulation 16CFR1303 for lead content and have been certified as such by Intertek, an independent testing laboratory recognized by both the American Society for Testing and Materials and the Consumer Products Safety Commission. So you can be confident that, with every piece of Young America furniture, you're buying the safest of products on the market today. Tall items include an anti-tip restraint kit that can secure the backs of taller cases to the wall, deterring dangerous tipping.
