Say goodbye to tax season and “hello, beautiful” to that sweet, sweet refund. If you’re looking for the perfect piece to lighten your newly heavy pockets (thanks, IRS!), we’ve compiled some of our fave stylish splurges – the things we don’t need, but that we’ve simply gotta have.
I usually use my tax refund to splurge on a larger piece of furniture, but sometimes a stylish accent makes all the difference. I love this mirrored, copper-finished coffee table – it’ll be great for hosting a wine night with girlfriends!
This chair checks all my boxes: velvet upholstery, chic channel tufting, and a baby blue color I’ve been totally crushing on lately. Add to the living room for a high-end accent, or use in a library or bedroom to create a cozy-elegant reading nook.
This rug is like a painting, but its neutral color scheme allows it to make a statement without yelling.
I’ll admit it – for a little while, I had a dresser in my dining room. I recently freed up space in my bedroom for the dresser, but now the bare dining room is in need of something new. This funky sideboard makes a much more appropriate replacement – I can’t get over the pattern!
I wish I’d had this glider when my kids were tiny. It’s stylish and wide enough to actually be comfortable during nursing or rocking sessions. Plus, it definitely has legs beyond a nursery – it would fit right into a modern living room or bedroom.
I’m pretty sure there’s no space this glammy black-and-gold coffee table couldn’t enhance. The art deco-inspired oval top is a real showstopper.
I’ve been admiring cobalt blue lately – it can chameleon into a dark, moody color scheme or accent an all-white room. Add this accent piece to a contemporary living room or pair with a quirky vintage set of chairs.
After rearranging my bedroom, I became woefully aware that my current gray rug is too small … and too boring. I love the interesting pattern on this rug, since I generally like to keep the accent textiles in my room neutral. It wouldn’t look out of place with my rainbow paisley summer sheets, or my red plaid flannels in the winter.
I love that this bench is made of stainless steel rather than the typical wood slats you see in this type of design. Functional but very striking in an entryway or bedroom.
Fellow Scandinavian style lovers will appreciate this stunning set of dining chairs. A nod to the classic Danish Panton design, these chairs have iron frames wrapped in natural rattan. How amazing would they look paired with a wooden table and some modern black and white chairs mixed in?
Do I really need a pair of alligator-shaped decorative trays? No. But will my home feel wholly incomplete without them? Probably. Better safe than sorry!
I’m totally in love with the simple softness of this chair. Adding a pair at the head and foot of an outdoor dining table would immediately elevate the space. The chic color combo and shape have earned it a spot at the top of my wish list.
