The style experts at Hayneedle recently put together a spring brunch space with mom in mind. Because if anyone deserves a fun meal in their honor, it’s the mothers and mother figures in our lives. Throw them the celebration they’re due with a relaxing, refreshing Mother’s Day get-together in the comfort of your home.
Follow our tips to get the fresh look shown above and then indulge in some of our favorite brunch recipes and get ready to celebrate mom.
Put Together a Mint + Melon Brunch Nook
When Hayneedle Photography Stylist Susan Graeve started pulling together this springy space, she wanted to keep it soft and fresh with pastel shades of peach and mint. She says, “I think it’s such a lovely color pairing and coordinates well with the driftwood gray of the Harrison Farmhouse table.
Her favorite part about the look is that it so perfectly mixes farmhouse and modern pieces. Combining styles helps give a space character and dimension. The result here is an on-trend room design that will feel of-the-moment for years to come.
Dress Your Brunch Table
Put together a pretty tablescape to make mom’s day feel even more special. This setup pairs beautifully with the furniture and colors in the space, but it can hold its own in just about any room. The soft tones offer a great backdrop for a Mother’s Day brunch.
The jute table runner acts as a neutral-but-not-boring base, while robin’s egg blue dinnerware brings the color. Patterned tea cups and bowls add interest, too. Flowers are an easy way to bring an element of nature to a table, and the eucalyptus and white anemones fit right in with the color scheme here. Finish the look with coordinating flatware, drinkware, and vases.

Choose Your Mother’s Day Brunch Recipes
Next to mom, the food at your brunch should be the star of the show. And while this is a special day, we suggest keeping it simple. Time together is the best gift for family and friends, so keep mom’s preferences in mind, but look for ways to do the prep work ahead of time. No one wants you to spend all your time in the kitchen, after all.
